Thank you.

While we may not have won this election, we always knew the odds were stacked against us. Despite the outcome, I am filled with immense gratitude for everyone who stood with us, supported our campaign, and shared in the vision of a brighter future.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us – and to everyone who voted, period. The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy, and I appreciate each person who took the time to make their voice heard. Special thanks go to the high school students who cast their votes in mock elections, showing their engagement and enthusiasm for the democratic process. You are our future, and your involvement matters deeply.

This has been an incredible year of learning and growth. Putting myself out there and pushing beyond my comfort zone was challenging. It was an experience that taught me more than I could have imagined, and I am still processing everything from the last nine months. I know that while I was a friendly face to some, others did not see me the same way – but my intentions have always been to serve the best interests of our communities.

The results show we have significant work ahead. I believe in the importance of choice, and I’m committed to building on this experience. Our journey doesn’t end here; rather, this is a steppingstone for the work that lies ahead.

To everyone who helped our campaign in any way – circulating or signing petition papers, canvassing, donating, voting, and lending your encouragement – thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support and belief in our movement made all the difference.

This campaign was never about a single candidate or one election. It was about building something larger, about reminding our leadership of the responsibility they hold, and providing an alternative in every election to come. Every movement has a beginning, and I am proud to have taken this first step with each of you.

Thank you once again for everything. This is only the beginning…
